I’ve been hoping that all of the parcels I’m waiting on will arrive before my OH and I leave for Vanuatu next week, and luckily they’re trickling in slowly. Today I received the second Marie Claire ‘The Parcel’ beauty subscription box and I was very excited to get it open! It was quite heavy – you might even say bursting at the seams!
So, what’s in the box?
- Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant (15g)
This is a cult product that I’ve been meaning to try for years but never got around to it. Very excited to see what it’s like! It’s recommended for long haul flights. - Philosophy Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 Cleanser for Face and Eyes (30ml)
I already know, love and use this cleanser. It’s perfect to use in the shower, which is where I keep it, and makes cleansing really easy. I definitely won’t sniff at this nifty travel size version either! - Essie Nail Polish in ‘Ballet Slippers’ (13.5ml) and All In One Base + Top Coat (13.5ml)
Not one, but TWO nail polishes! I’ve never used this brand before so I’m interested to try it out. The polish is a really pretty pale pink colour, perfect for a French mani. - Jergens Ultra Healing Body Moisturiser (100ml)
I’ve never heard of this brand before but the little leaflet insists that it’s a much coveted moisturiser. I’m pretty slack when it comes to body moisturising but I’ll certainly give it a go. - Revlon Age Defying CC Cream (30ml)
Not particularly excited about this one (how many BB/CC creams can a girl use?) but I guess I’ll try it at least once. - Estēe Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye (5ml)
I never go out of my way to specifically buy night eye cream, but I do like trying them out. It’s now sitting on my night stand, ready and waiting. - John Frieda Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Shampoo (44ml), Conditioner (44ml) and Fine to Full Blow-Out Spray (29ml)
I haven’t used John Frieda in quite a while, and have recently become quite partial to OGX’s Nourishing Coconut Milk shampoo and conditioner after trying it in a previous Bellabox. I may not get around to trying these for a while (and I may not even need them because I already have quite thick hair) but (again) I just love the travel size tubes and so they’ll end up in a suitcase eventually!
(In other news, I also won a tube of Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop Coloured Lip Balm in ‘Oh Orange!’ which also arrived today. Sweet!)
So overall, another fantastic box from Marie Claire! It’s chockful of delightful goodies, with a good variety of products that are all in decent sizes. I’m definitely glad I ditched Bellabox – I think one decent box every quarter definitely trumps BB’s hit and (more often) miss monthly subscription.
